The Alexander Technique: An Introduction (September 2017)
I will be leading (assisted by several other local teachers) a five week introductory course at the Wilmslow Guild (an Adult Education Institution) on consecutive Wednesday evenings (19.30 - 21.30) from 20th September 2017. The full course costs £44.
Details and online booking are available on the Wilmslow Guild website here.
Also - my colleague Liz Hulse will be leading an eight week introduction at the Wilmslow Guild in April 2018, more details here.
*It may also be worth checking the search page on the website of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique from time to time for information about other local workshops.
Weekly class for A.T. teachers and experienced pupils (January 2018 onwards)
There will be a weekly class on Thursday mornings in Wilmslow from January 2018.
See this page for further information.
As many of you know, I have organised workshops of different sizes and in different formats from time to time in the past. These are always friendly events, and everyone has a nice time.
This workshop will be informal, with a loose structure, and there will be a very high ratio of teachers to students, ensuring that everyone will receive plenty of individual attention from several different teachers.
The slightly different approach of each teacher provides a new perspective, an opportunity better to understand the AT and further to develop one’s skills. Observing others being worked with in a supportive group situation can also be very helpful. Students have generally found these workshops to be fun and inspiring.
If possible, please let me know by Monday 20th March if you would like to attend.
Note 1/4/17: This workshop was attended by 20 students and 11 teachers.
