The Alexander Technique with Peter Bloch in Wilmslow, Cheshire
Teacher Training:
The Manchester Alexander Technique Training School (MATTS)
The Manchester AT Training School (MATTS) is a STAT-approved training course for teachers, based in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
MATTS was founded in 2001 and has graduated 39 teachers (April 2024). At the moment (April 2024) we have fourteen trainee teachers and occasional postgraduate students who regularly visit us from all over the UK and the world. In addition, several experienced AT students visit our classes regularly, see below.
In addition to a traditional 3 year full-time training course for teachers, we offer part-time courses leading to certification over a longer time period, occasional visits or intensive courses for members of the public, postgraduate courses of advanced study for qualified teachers and CPD classes for all teachers.

Students with a strong interest in the AT and who have already had an introductory course of lessons are welcome to visit our classes.
With an average student:teacher ratio of 2:1, and some of the most experienced teachers in the UK, our classes are an interesting and effective way to advance your studies. During your visit you will receive several 'turns' (mini-lessons from different teachers) and be invited to participate in group activities. The first visit is free and subsequent visits are £60 each (2023/4).
New visitors are required to book their first visit in advance and thereafter are free to attend on any day of their choosing, without notice. Please contact me if you would like further information, or to arrange a first visit.
